Birthday Weekend

Friday
This is a little late but I had to wait for my dear best friend, who likes to procrastinate, to send me pics :0). This weekend was a lot of fun. My best friend Sarah and I share the same birthday so we decided to double date and go out to the desert and have tinfoil dinners over a bonfire. It wasn't until after our car battery died and I had to have my Dad send another police officer out to come save us that we found out that we were in Cartel territory. I'll be paying a little more attention to where we're going next time :). But we survived and and had a lot of fun. After wards we all went back to Todd and Sarah's house and just visited.

The Birthday Girls!

Saturday

Ok, so if you know my Dad then you know that St. Patrick's day will always have first priority, even over my birthday :) I'm just kidding, it's not that bad. But the next day I did load up the boys and we met my family downtown for the St.Patrick's day Parade. I LOVE when we're able to get the WHOLE family together, it doesn't happen as often as I would like so
it was awesome to be able to hang out with everyone.

Eathan got bored of the parade pretty quickly (shocker) and decided to go play in this little alley way that was right behind us :0)

And of course we had to squeeze some of mom's heritage in too so after the parade we all went out to eat at TeePee's, the BEST mexican restaurant EVER. Apparently its pretty popular amongst the celebrities as well, they even marked what Entree Pres. George W. Bush ate on the menu :0)
They LOVE to have their picture taken with me :) (can't you tell?)

Play Time

Today was pretty uneventful. The boys and I did go to their favorite park in the whole wide world though, Tumbleweed Park, aka, "the farm slide." :) It's about a 20 min. drive from home so we only go once every couple of weeks. I do have to admit though, this park is pretty dang awesome. You can do almost anything at this park. Like today, the boys drove a school bus and a firetruck, we made pizza(made out of wood chips), we dug for dinosaur bones and actually found some. At one point we were even actually baby dinosaurs sitting in dinosaur eggshells :). Well that last one was actually me trying to get the boys to sit still so that I could get a picture of them sitting in the shells, and them meowing and crawling around claiming to be baby dinosaurs :/ (I'm debating on introducing them to the movie "Jurassic Park" to show them that Dinosaurs don't meow)

Ok,I only put this pic up here because the story behind it is kinda cute. I was trying to get a picture with Eathan, and he wasn't letting me because he said that "boys don't get pictures with girls" and after I told him that he's super smart because girls have germs, I told him that its ok because I'm his mommy, he said "no, cuz mommies embarrass boys." I didn't even know that he knew how to say the word "embarrassed" let alone know what it means! I'm not THAT embarrassing. :)
Tytan, looking just as sweet as ever, don't be fooled, this is probably when he was deciding to throw wood chips in his brothers face. :0)

I'm Alive :0)

OK, so I didn't die :). In fact, I actually had a lot of fun. Here's a pic of us next to the Sand Rail. Jared(Jayrod) the guy on the right was my date and the other guy, Scott, is his best friend. Scott decided to go last minute so he couldn't find a date in time. The only downside about the trip besides getting a little red and sand caked in my hair:) is that I lost my phone somewhere in all of that sand. I had no ones phone number memorized, I mean, that's the phones job right? And I needed to get a hold of my mom to let her know that I wasn't murdered, just in case she started to take my axe murderer theory serious. So, when they dropped me off at home, I got right into my car, drove to my parents house( I really was worried that mom was going to call the cops if she couldn't get a hold of me on my cell phone, she's threatened to do it before. Turns out she was never worried. She didn't want to embarrass me by calling me:/ The guys thought it was hilarious.) and then I drove to the T-Mobile store to get a new phone. So to sum it up, I made 2 new buddies, learned how to drive a dune buggy, and got a cool new phone at the end of it all :)

First Date

Ok, Nate has the boys this weekend :( and I have my first official date today since I don't even know when. I wouldn't be so freaked out if I actually knew the guy, yep its a blind date, alone. What in the world am I thinking? Theres so many things to consider in a situation like this. What does he look like? That isn't suppose to matter, but it kinda does. If he turns out to be boring you at least want to have something nice to look at, right? What if he's an axe murderer? No one else shares this worry with me, but we ARE going to the desert to ride quads(or some kind of sand toy) think of all the places he could hide my body there, its endless!
Alright, I'm just kidding. I'm just a little nervouse. But he's this really nice LDS guy that got talked into calling me by his cousin whoes friends with my friend :). Make since? Anyways, I'll let you know how the first date goes.
