Meeting the Mouse!

Ok, Yeah, I know this is WAY over due. I don't have an excuse, I've just been lazy. So, at the end of May Eathan and I went to Disneyland with my parents and my siblings (minus Sam, the turd had to work). I had to make the heart wrenching decision to leave Tytan because Eathan was tall enough to ride all of the rides, with the exception of Indiana Jones, which we just stuffed socks in the bottom of his shoes to make him tall enough, it worked :) Anyways, with Tytan being my shrimp, and only two years old, he wasn't going to be able to ride that many rides. I was just visualizing all of the tantrums that would have happened because he wasn't able to go on all the rides with Eathan. So with the reassurance from Nate that they would go do something fun, I left him with his dad.

Ok, so now that I've eased my guilt for leaving Tytan, I can go into the fun. There's alot of pictures so bare with me :). We really did have a great time. And it was really nice to get that one on one time with Eathan. He's STILL talking about it, and is already planning what rides he's going to ride on our next trip :). The highlights of the trip for him were of course meeting Mickey Mouse :), riding small world, and his absolute favorite ride, the ride that he STILL will NOT shush up about, The Ghost Ride, aka, The Haunted Mansion.

Mom and I took Eathan to go see Mickey at his house. The line was a little long but it turned out to be way worth it in the end.

And here it is, the Haunted Mansion :) I think Cody was really scared ;)

Here's my Mom and Dad getting ready to get on Small World for the first time. My Mom swore that she wasn't going to ride this ride, she LOATHES this ride, it's been an on going hate for years, something about not being able to get the song out of her head ;). Well, the poor women had to ride the dang ride twice! Somehow Sadi was able to guilt her into riding it and then Eathan was able to put on his charm to get her on it a 2nd time :)

Here's Eathan getting ready to ride the Grizzly Rapid ride in California Adventure. you get soaked on that ride, hence the rain poncho :)

Dad and I, still waiting to ride Grizzly Rapids.

Here's Eathan planning our next stop.

Eathan with his Mickey Ears, eating Dinner, getting ready for the Fireworks to start. The fireworks were definitely one of my highlights :)

Eathan and I on the Teacups

Crazy Sadi!

I love, love, love this picture of Eathan! One of his sweetest smiles :)

Crazy Mommy, I was trying to make Eathan think that we were going fast because I wouldn't let them spin it hardly at all. I just can't do the spinny rides anymore :)

And last but not least :)

Ready, set, roar!

It feels like forever since I've updated. Ok, it has been forever since I've updated :). I just haven't had any energy to do much of anything lately. Not a whole lot has happened though. I did finally land myself a part time job working at a steak house, Logan's Roadhouse. That's going ok, I'm not getting a whole lot of hours so its still hard trying to make ends meet. But, it's a job and I'm still thankful to have it. I'm getting ready to do classes in the fall, I originally was going for a degree in nutrition but I'm going to do Teaching instead. High school English is what I'm hoping for :). I'm still waiting to hear back from the school to see how much I'm going to get in grants.
Anyways, now that the boring stuff is out of the way, on to the fun! I don't usually get a whole lot of time or have any money to take the boys out to fun places, but I got a coupon from the library that allowed me to take them to the Arizona Southwest museum. Aka, The Dinosaur Museum! We had so much fun. There is so much to do there! Not only do they have real life looking Dinos, but your able to pan for gold, sit in an old fashion jail, and find out how much you would weigh in Mars. They even had a poop exhibit. Yep, you heard me, POOP! I was trying really hard to hurry and get through the creative display. And as anxious as I was to learn about why our poop smells, I was more concerned about keeping my apitite for the lunch that we were suppose to eat afterwards. They needed to have a warning sign saying, "Boys only" or "No Moms aloud". The boys loved it though, they got a kick out of it :).

Eathan was so excited :)

Looking for gold.

Eathan showing him how to do it

I think he's got it!

They were sitting in front of a huge skeleton of a mammoth. Of course I didn't think to get a picture of it, but it was awesome :)

Conference, Cold Sores, and Easter Bunnies

I love conference weekend! I have such a great love and respect for our Prophet and his Counselors and Apostles. Being able to watch them and heed to their counsel has helped me get to know them on a more personal level, and it makes my personal relationship with my Heavenly Father that much stronger, I feel closer to him. I think for the first time in years, I watched conference all by myself. Nate had the boys this weekend so it was a little weird not being able to hear the kids in the background. Watching alone did have it's perks though, Like the fact that I was able to sing the hymns as loud and as off key as I wanted without putting any one's hearing at risk :0).

There was really only one downside to this weekend. I've been a little stressed because I've been trying to find a job for the weekends, when I don't have the kiddos, to try to bring in some more income. I haven't had much luck. I'VE been handling the stress ok, but apparently my BODY hasn't. When I'm really anxious or stressed out I break out into cold sores, see................

So, I guess I've been a little more stressed than I thought (or at least my body thinks so), cuz this is what I woke up to this morning. Gross, huh. This is just the first one, I can feel 2 more trying to pop up. :(

I can't believe that Easter is next week already! My boys are so excited :) So on Friday I took them to go see the Easter Bunny at the mall. Tytan didn't really know what to make of the Rabbit, but Eathan was ecstatic :0)
I do have to admit, this is one of the CUTEST Easter Bunnies that I've seen so far :)

Oh yeah! Eathan is now riding the bus to Pre-school! He's growing up so fast :( He loves the bus though, it makes him feel like a "big kid."

Birthday Weekend

Friday
This is a little late but I had to wait for my dear best friend, who likes to procrastinate, to send me pics :0). This weekend was a lot of fun. My best friend Sarah and I share the same birthday so we decided to double date and go out to the desert and have tinfoil dinners over a bonfire. It wasn't until after our car battery died and I had to have my Dad send another police officer out to come save us that we found out that we were in Cartel territory. I'll be paying a little more attention to where we're going next time :). But we survived and and had a lot of fun. After wards we all went back to Todd and Sarah's house and just visited.

The Birthday Girls!

Saturday

Ok, so if you know my Dad then you know that St. Patrick's day will always have first priority, even over my birthday :) I'm just kidding, it's not that bad. But the next day I did load up the boys and we met my family downtown for the St.Patrick's day Parade. I LOVE when we're able to get the WHOLE family together, it doesn't happen as often as I would like so
it was awesome to be able to hang out with everyone.

Tytan waiting for the Parade to start

Eathan got bored of the parade pretty quickly (shocker) and decided to go play in this little alley way that was right behind us :0)

And of course we had to squeeze some of mom's heritage in too so after the parade we all went out to eat at TeePee's, the BEST mexican restaurant EVER. Apparently its pretty popular amongst the celebrities as well, they even marked what Entree Pres. George W. Bush ate on the menu :0)
They LOVE to have their picture taken with me :) (can't you tell?)

And Tytan SAYING "happy face" :)

Play Time

Today was pretty uneventful. The boys and I did go to their favorite park in the whole wide world though, Tumbleweed Park, aka, "the farm slide." :) It's about a 20 min. drive from home so we only go once every couple of weeks. I do have to admit though, this park is pretty dang awesome. You can do almost anything at this park. Like today, the boys drove a school bus and a firetruck, we made pizza(made out of wood chips), we dug for dinosaur bones and actually found some. At one point we were even actually baby dinosaurs sitting in dinosaur eggshells :). Well that last one was actually me trying to get the boys to sit still so that I could get a picture of them sitting in the shells, and them meowing and crawling around claiming to be baby dinosaurs :/ (I'm debating on introducing them to the movie "Jurassic Park" to show them that Dinosaurs don't meow)

Ok,I only put this pic up here because the story behind it is kinda cute. I was trying to get a picture with Eathan, and he wasn't letting me because he said that "boys don't get pictures with girls" and after I told him that he's super smart because girls have germs, I told him that its ok because I'm his mommy, he said "no, cuz mommies embarrass boys." I didn't even know that he knew how to say the word "embarrassed" let alone know what it means! I'm not THAT embarrassing. :)
Tytan, looking just as sweet as ever, don't be fooled, this is probably when he was deciding to throw wood chips in his brothers face. :0)
